Welcome to the Vehicle Registration & Licensing Division's appointment page.
If your out of state driver's license is expiring, you must make an appointment before the expiration date. If your out of state driver's license is expired, you must apply as a new applicant. A written test and road test will be required.
The REAL ID enforcement date has been extended to May 7, 2025. You may continue to travel with a credential that is not marked with a "gold star" after October 1, 2021.

At this time we ask that no appointments be made for vehicle registration renewals. You may visit one of our offices as a walk-in. We will do our best to serve you in-between our appointments.

Auto Dealers and fleet registration are able to make appointments online. We ask that you limit your appointments to one per week. You may continue to drop off packets in addition to appointments.
Please check in for your appointment at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. Your appointment may be canceled if you arrive 10 minutes or more after your appointment time.
We are currently conducting Class 3 (passenger vehicles) in-vehicle road tests. To make an appointment and for further information on vehicle road tests click here.
Commercial Driver's License (Class A, B, C and 4) appointments must be made through the Hilo office or Kona office. You will need an in office appointment to schedule a skill test appointment. A $50 road test fee is required at the time of your in office appointment.
